Joshua Weir, Author of The Salvation of God

Why Joshua Wrote The Salvation of God

The book’s central claim is that salvation belongs to God from beginning to end.

Joshua wrote the book to present salvation as more than a slogan or an isolated promise about the afterlife. The study asks what humanity was created for, what sin and death have damaged, how God’s promises unfold through Scripture, why the cross and resurrection belong together, and how grace creates a life of faith, repentance, obedience, and hope.

Humanity cannot conquer sin and death by its own strength. God acts through his promised Redeemer, gives the Holy Spirit, calls people into a transformed life, and promises resurrection and final restoration.

Scripture and Editorial Method

Joshua’s articles and study resources follow these practices:

  • Read verses within their surrounding paragraph, chapter, and biblical setting.
  • Trace themes across both Testaments rather than building a doctrine on one isolated line.
  • Distinguish a passage’s wording from later explanation or inference.
  • Use Hebrew and Greek roots as aids to contextual reading, not as replacements for the text.
  • Identify the Bible translation used for direct quotations.
  • Correct factual or citation errors transparently.
  • Separate theological conviction from claims that can be independently verified.

The World Messianic Bible (W.M.B.) is the primary translation quoted in The Salvation of God. Readers may review the site’s Editorial Standards and Corrections Policy.
